The Munitions Acceleration Lean Manufacturing Leader applies advanced lean manufacturing techniques and CORE methods to develop and optimize factories to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. The Lean Manufacturing Focal will be partnering with the factories to analyze current state and the implementation of a future state that is comprised of right size inventory, lean logistics, balanced operations manufacturing to takt time and real time problem resolution.  

What You Will Do:

  • Lead CORE engagements focused on implementation of lean manufacturing systems in critical factories tied to the MAT Programs

  • Implementation of Lean manufacturing systems in critical factories.

  • Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement

  • Plan, lead and execute the implementation of the CORE Operating System within assigned business unit.

  • On-time delivery recovery

  • Program growth capacity

  • Quality escapes and/or yield improvement activities

  • Specific cost/spend pressures including productivity/efficiency

  • Align all portions of operations to work in harmony, with clearly defined functional standard work.

  • Implementation of material strategies that focus on lean logistics and supermarket right sizing.

  • Determine/monitor/improve KPI's and implementation processes

  • Positively affect KPI change

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum10 years experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience implementing and sustaining Lean Manufacturing systems in factories

  • Lean 6 Sigma Certified

  • CORE Expert Certified

  • Masters degree in Industrial Engineering

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
