For our site in Geilenkirchen (close to Aachen) we are looking for an

Mission Simulator Operator (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

  • Provide the MSOs for the MSTDs (MTC 1 and 2) and associated training devices.
  • Execute mission simulator scenarios in support of mission simulator training for all mission crew personnel and other personnel designated by the End User.
  • Execute Mission Training through Distributed Simulations (MTDS) activities, as part of daily training, exercises, spin-ups and/or testing purposes. Activities include but are not limited to network preparations, scheduling, mission planning and event execution.
  • Perform all assigned Mission Simulator Operator tasks/ positions.
  • Perform as White Force Leads, to plan, guide and execute simulated training events.
  • Provide controlled, standardized mission scenario environments for simulated mission crew training and evaluations.
  • Coordinate with instructors/ evaluators/ white force and brief/ debrief simulated missions, to include the capability of extract lessons identified, root errors, and provide recommended actions.
  • Provide support for modernization and sustainment projects (to include Operational Test and Evaluation) support for simulator sessions testing equipment, software, courseware updates, etc. Support for modernization and sustainment projects versus regular training will be prioritized by the End User and built into the schedule.
  • Provide capability to maintain, develop and update full crew simulator scenarios and partial crew simulator scenarios
  • each scenario.
  • Provide to the mission crews, as identified by OWSA, simulated mission documents and information required to mission plan and successfully conduct the simulation event.
  • Maintain and update all technical publications and data provided by NATO.
  • Document any software or system discrepancies found while performing training, regardless of equipment ownership. NATO will provide the appropriate form for documentation.

Your profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in C2 – Command & Control (i.e.)
    • Air Battle Management
    • Air Surveillance
    • CRC, E3 or equivalent AEW&C Platform
    • NATO Procedures (i.e. Maritime, DCA & OCA Procedures)
    • Data Link (i.e. Link-11, 16)
    • Working knowledge as: Weapons Controller, Surveillance Controller or Operator, JTAC, 4th Generation Fighter Pilot, other Air/Surface/ Ground equivalent position
  • Experience in Training with students in a military environment
  • Experience in modern modeling and simulation technologies

Desired Qualification:

  • English according NATO Standard 3333
  • Comply with the requirements of NATO secret security clearance
