Compensation: Target total annual compensation of $125,000–$135,000+, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

About the Role:

As a Mining Product Support Representative, you will be a key driver of Finning’s product support strategy for mining customers. This role is centered on building strong, trust-based relationships with both external clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional support solutions. Your focus will be on maximizing fleet productivity and uptime through innovative, data-driven approaches, while also growing Finning’s parts and service market share through long-term, profitable solutions developed in collaboration with Caterpillar and internal stakeholders.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

Customer Focus & Product Support Sales (70%)

  • Lead the execution of product support strategies for assigned mining accounts

  • Strengthen customer relationships and retention through proactive engagement and satisfaction initiatives

  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively

  • Maintain accurate customer data including equipment population, usage hours, and key contacts

  • Use customer and Finning data to develop short- and long-term parts and component forecasts

  • Collaborate with internal marketing teams to prepare quotes, proposals, and responses to RFPs/RFQs

  • Manage proforma presentations and approvals with customers

  • Participate in weekly customer planning and parts meetings

  • Facilitate monthly customer meetings with documented action items

  • Proactively manage fleet components using component management tools

  • Develop and execute product support strategies in non-traditional markets

  • Ensure contractual obligations and Customer Value Agreements are fulfilled

Relationship Management (20%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts

  • Collaborate closely with internal branch teams, support functions, and Caterpillar representatives

Enterprise Contribution (10%)

  • Establish and maintain processes for gathering and reporting competitive intelligence, especially insights from field technicians

  • Work with supply chain teams to share customer forecasts and ensure adequate parts availability

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience managing large accounts

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Mechanical aptitude or experience with heavy equipment systems

  • Strong background in parts and service operations

  • Proven ability to manage projects independently across all phases

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for influencing and resolving sensitive issues

  • Solid understanding of mining equipment best practices

  • Business acumen including knowledge of support systems, credit, and financing

  • Familiarity with Finning systems such as CTS, PTOS, INFOR M3/Lawson, Warranty, and SIS

  • Commitment to safety procedures and standards

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
