Location/Division Specific Information:

Our Cincinnati site is a Center of Excellence for specialized oral solid dose manufacturing and drug development within our Pharma Services Group (PSG).

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician II performs primarily mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing processes. They also work to ensure equipment is running efficiently and complete scheduled maintenance as a key member of the Maintenance team.

A Day in the Life:

Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.

Perform basic electrical work, plumbing, soldering, carpentry, and snow removal.

Rebuild manufacturing equipment or perform equipment modifications as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of maintenance work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related industry.
  • Preferred: Technical/Trade training, electrical controls, equipment maintenance or mechanical systems experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Read and understand schematics to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
  • Great teammate who can complete tasks safely, correctly, and on time and help others as needed.
  • Use mathematical formulas, handbooks, and a variety of precision measuring instruments to complete day-to-day tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to engage in conversations with vendors and cross-functional team members.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • The ability to lift and/or exert up to 50 lbs.
  • Work on equipment while bending, kneeling, sitting, and/or standing.
