JOB MISSION:

Develop and implement the New Balance seasonal directed assortments & must land programs, within specific key accounts, consistent with key brand initiatives and financial expectations.  Help drive the Go-To-Market process and execution, in cooperation with the Regional Business Unit Merchants, North America Sales and Brand/Integrated/Channel Marketing.  Drive Key Account product segmentation & differentiation.  Drive model and style efficiency and eliminate product redundancy.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Adopt and adapt the regional product line that meets and exceeds our must win key accounts goals, by thinking with the end in mind.

  • Create and elevate the consumer experience with profitable consumer and customer right assortments.

  • Establish Directed Assortments that deliver the right product, at the right time, in the right place, at the right price, with the right quantities.

  • Edit assortments to ensure amplification of key products, concepts, and stories across GBU & retailers with a retail end in mind approach.

  • Ensure footwear, apparel, accessories and marketing are in sync and aligned as part of the go to market process.

  • Balance the art and science of merchandising. Market and financial analytics.

  • Data analysis, driver research and plan synthesis with review/input from General Merchandising Manager

  • Engage market sensing intelligence/feedback at key milestones to ensure delivering consumer right assortments.

  • Lead, influence, and direct the seasonal GTM strategies & regional priorities where applicable.

  • Actively manage adjustments & modifications to the key assortments and monitor progress against execution, close the loop from plan to execution at retail.

  • Sales Meeting – “project manage” channel triad team leading into sales meeting, prep merchandising materials, face of team to channel at meeting and for follow ups

  • Presells – “project manage” channel triad team leading into presells, prep merch materials, face of team to channel at meeting and for follow ups

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5+ years related product management or merchandising experience with 7+ years professional experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • Retail/industry experience in footwear or apparel

  • System savvy (PLM, ERP, Merchandising)

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong planning and organization skills

  • Analytical/problem analysis skills

  • Assertive and accountable

  • Strong collaboration and communication

Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $97,185.00 - $125,400.00 - $153,615.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
