As Medical Manager (GI Cancers) based in Sydney, you’ll lead medical strategy for this Therapeutic area, guiding evidence generation and practice-shaping initiatives across an innovative in line and pipeline portfolio—advancing care for patients.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the GI Medical Affairs Plan, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align evidence generation and ecosystem initiatives with business priorities.
Drive scientific exchange with external experts and stakeholders; translate insights to shape strategy and healthcare practice.
Provide medical leadership for in-line and pre launch brands, including promotional material review, education, field medical support and training.
Partner with clinical teams to optimise trials; design/supervise real world evidence (RWE) projects with scientific rigor.
Build and deliver advisory boards and Key Opinion Leader engagement.
Champion medical governance and compliance; model integrity, openness and continuous improvement.
Proven Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including launch/pre-launch experience.
Therapy area expertise in GI cancers or solid tumour oncology more broadly.
Proven strategy ownership: plan design, execution, measurement and iteration.
Strong stakeholder engagement and KOL development skills.
High emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate productively in complex cross functional teams.
Budget capability, managing to targets (zero-based budgeting experience desirable).
Postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD) or equivalent advanced scientific training.
Pre launch/launch experience in oncology.
Familiarity with the Australian GI oncology landscape.
Experience designing or overseeing RWE initiatives.
