Position Summary
The Medical Director at MIORA Performance + Longevity plays a critical role in overseeing matters related to medical supervision, patient care, clinical protocols, and medical judgment. The Medical Director ensures that all patient care is delivered in accordance with evidence-based protocols and meets the MIORA experience standards.
Major Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Medical Supervision:
- Provide medical supervision for patient care and clinical protocols, ensuring the highest standards of care, patient safety, and medical ethics.
- Oversee clinical decision-making for Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Registered Dietitians (RDs), and Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Review Medical Provider and Dietitian patient charts to ensure adherence to evidence-based medical practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements are met to clinical standards.
Patient Care & Coordination:
- Partner with Medical Providers and Registered Dietitians to create on-going care plans for particularly for complex cases, to ensure patients receive optimal care and attention.
- Be available to the clinic team to support any escalated patient concerns.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing healthcare practices, including maintaining accreditation and adherence to licensing requirements.
- Maintain all necessary licenses, certifications and training requirements for medical providers.
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, or integrative medicine).
- Current and valid medical licensure in the relevant state.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience
- Experience in integrated healthcare or wellness practices preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent clinical decision-making skills, with a commitment to evidence-based care.
- Strong understanding of integrated healthcare principles, wellness programs, and patient education.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Pay
- Starting salary for this part-time position starts at $69,000 and pays up to $94,00, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for incentive pay based on business performance.
