Your New Role...
The Media Asset Specialist will function in a variety of capacities for the HBO/Max Marketing Operations team at Warner Brothers Discovery. We are looking for an individual who understands creative workflows and can be embedded with both show post teams and Marketing producers, and understand both worlds. The qualified candidate will have a creative background as well as a technical understanding of specs and file types and their effect on creative production. A customer service persona who can interact with lots of different types of creative individuals is critical. Ideal candidates will have experience with digital cinema cameras, video file types, Avid Media Composer/Adobe CC Ingest and Export, execution of media workflows, and general post production applications, as well as experience and deep understanding of creative workflows on show productions and Marketing productions. Adobe Experience Manager Assets and other Media Asset Management systems are a plus.
Daily tasks and responsibilities across the media team vary. All Specialists work directly with our shows and our Marketing creatives to bridge the gap and streamline communication on creative and technical issues arising throughout production. Media ingest, export, transcoding, and delivery workflows and the creative implications of those processes are paramount as we work closely with our show post production teams around the globe. All individuals do a combination of both working with creative partners on marketing campaign media workflow items, and working with technical teams on production technology, automation, and troubleshooting complex media problems. Tasks are assigned based on a combination of skillsets and team needs. Good customer service attitude when troubleshooting and supporting media software and workflows with creative users on deadlines is paramount.
In addition to an in-depth knowledge of creative post-production workflows, the qualified candidate will also be well versed in project management systems (Monday.com, Asana, Airtable, etc.), transcoding/encoding, frame rate conversions, color grading, and file delivery systems. Experience in a creative production atmosphere preferred. Good attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines is crucial.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,695.00 - $116,434.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
