Rolls-Royce has an exciting secondment opportunity working as a Mechanical Engineer for the Submarines Production Alliance. The team will be based in Derby but will require travel for 1 week per month.
The successful candidate will be embedded into the Platform Team working directly for the Deputy Chief Engineer.
What you will be doing
" - Exercise safety delegated responsibility in control & design of Sec Prop PBS
- MESM with recent experience of SSN propulsion operations & scenarios (A-Class/S9G)
- Responsible for generation of SSNA CONOPs + “draft SOPs”
- Oversight of DRNT SMITE trials programme and incorporation of PWR3 plant integration/LFE into SSNA design.
- Lead interface with SMITE 2 generation team WRT SSNa specific steam trials, TGs and DRNT LFE"

Ideally a candidate would be at least an Incorporated Engineer or equivalent, chartered is desirable. Any relevant Engineering discipline can be considered including materials, structures, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, Naval Architecture.
