Drafter Mechanical Level 1:

Estimated hourly base pay: $23.08 (min) - $30.29 (mid) - $37.02 (max)

Drafter Mechanical Level 2:

Estimated hourly base pay $26.44 (min )-$34.62 (mid) -$42.31 (max)

Drafter Mechanical I

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Mechanical Drawings: Develop basic mechanical blueprints and schematics based on provided specifications and guidelines.
  • Update Technical Documentation: Revise and modify existing drawings to reflect changes or improvements as instructed by senior staff.
  • Ensure Quality Standards: Adhere to established quality guidelines and standard operating procedures in all drafting activities.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate and coordinate with team members to gather necessary information for accurate drafting.
  • Maintain Drawing Records: Organize and manage electronic and physical records of all technical drawings and revisions.

Key Skills:

  • CAD Software Proficiency: Skilled in using computer aided design (CAD) tools for creating mechanical drawings.
  • Technical Drawing: Ability to produce accurate and detailed mechanical drawings based on specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Proficient in reading and understanding technical blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures precision in drafting to meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills: Utilizes fundamental math for measurements and calculations in design processes.
  • Standard Operating Procedure Adherence: Follows established procedures to maintain consistency and quality in work.

Drafter Mechanical II

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Detailed Mechanical Drawings: Develops precise mechanical designs using CAD software in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Team: Works closely with engineers and other drafters to ensure design accuracy and address technical requirements.
  • Revise and Update Designs: Modifies existing drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope to maintain uptodate documentation.
  • Ensure Compliance with Standards: Adheres to company and regulatory standards in all drafting activities to guarantee quality and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot Design Issues: Identifies and resolves common design problems using established procedures and scientific methods to support project objectives.

Key Skills:

  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) Proficiency: Expert in utilizing CAD software to create and modify detailed mechanical drawings and models.
  • Technical Drawing: Skilled in producing precise and accurate technical schematics and blueprints that adhere to industry standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing and verifying drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to drafting tasks.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing design requirements and translating them into functional and efficient technical drawings.
