About the role

Are you passionate about both engineering and science? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech environment where your work directly contributes to cutting-edge analytical instruments? SciAps is seeking a highly motivated and technically gifted Mechanical Engineer to join our world-class team. You’ll help design rugged, battery-operated handheld devices that push the boundaries of performance and reliability in sealed enclosures — a challenge that demands creativity, precision, and a love for innovation.

What you will bring to the role

  • You have worked on at least one new product from initial design through to production release

  • You bring 2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer

  • You are proficient in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and Product Data Management (PDM)

  • You have expertise in tolerance stack-up and analysis

  • You have a proven track record of completing all project phases while meeting schedule, specification, and cost goals

  • You pay meticulous attention to detail and maintain a low error rate in your work

  • You conduct thorough design analysis using simulation, material assessment, and calculations

  • You devise and execute comprehensive Design Verification Test (DVT) plans to ensure reliability and performance

Education:

  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Internship or Coop experience desired as well
