We are currently looking to fill a Materials Specialist - MFG position. The Materials Specialist - MFG proactively plans and maintains the lifecycle of materials used in Bulk Drug Production at IOPS.
In this role, a typical day might include the following:
Manage end-to-end lifecycle management of Single-Use Technologies, Raw Materials, Processing Aids, and Manufacturing Support Materials:
Onboarding of new materials and suppliers
Participate in on-site audits
Facilitate form, fit, function assessments
Material retirement as business needs evolve
Material Specification revision/approval
Develop and manage business analytics:
Ensure continuous supply of material for Process Areas
Responsible for cut-over strategies of Process Area material for material revisions
Trend material failures to drive material improvement
Coordinating with cross functional teams to support Second Source/Replacement Sourcing of materials
Oversee Supplier Change Notification evaluations for Bulk Manufacturing
Participate in PFMEA/Risk Assessment/Regulatory Assessment’s cross functional teams
Coordinate Material Gap Assessments for new programs transferred into Process Areas
Participate in supplier relationship meetings with vendors
May require some travel
Perform other duties as assigned
This role might be for you if:
Experience in strategic planning or project management is preferred
Biopharma commercial-scale manufacturing knowledge also preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with exceptional organizational and time management skill
Ability to effectively communicate with peers and leadership
Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization
Ability to facilitate meetings and projects with cross-functional teams
Ability to operate independently within a tight deadline environment
To be considered for the Assoc Materials Specialist - MFG you must have a BS/BA in Business or related field and equivalent combination of education and experience.
To be considered for the Materials Specialist - MFG you must have a BS/BA in Business or related field and 2+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To be considered for the Sr Materials Specialist - MFG you must have a BS/BA in Business or related field and 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level is determined based on relevant education and experience.
