The Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) Material Program Manager (MPM) is a strong leader with a demonstrated track record of delivering outstanding performance and collaboration in a cross-functional team operating in a matrix organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and leading the material strategies and plans supporting factory MRP demand and OTD requirements, driving efforts to achieve material sales goals, and delivering efficiencies to the NGJ at the Advanced Products Center factory in McKinney, TX while demonstrating proficiency in cost account management, managing budgets, and managing suppliers to aggressive schedules and continuous improvement in lead times and affordability. The candidate will also lead supply chain activities supporting obsolescence management and redesign integration.

The candidate must have excellent written and oral communications skills and should be able to lead both tactical and strategic efforts, including budgeting, financial management, and issue and conflict resolution. The MPM will work with cross-functional teams supporting the program and factory to facilitate the strategy and transition of production requirements into executable plans with Supply Chain and our supply base. The successful candidate will have supply chain or materials management experience and exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in program, IPTL, and supplier meetings as a core SCM member
  • Review and burn down SCM metrics and provide Materials Management metric support, as needed
  • Develop and drive material EACs and monthly material forecasting
  • Create and execute supply chain obsolescence management plans
  • Coordinate Risk Mitigation and Opportunity capture plans
  • Partner with Procurement and Supplier Performance Management to resolve supplier issues
  • Commitment to obtain MPM level 3 certification within 1 year of accepting position

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum five (5) years' experience.
  • Experience includes experience with Materials Mgt, Supply Chain

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of development and LRIP
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize many competing tasks
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
