Salary
£26.62 per hour.Master Technician (Days)
We need you!!
If you love being a vehicle technician but you’re thinking “I fancy a change”, “I want more variety” or “I want better hours”, then we may just have exactly what you’re looking for!
You’ve probably seen some of our 166 vehicles driving around Liverpool, transporting our fantastic customers across our network every year.
Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that. It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re as looked after as our vehicles are!
You’ll have the responsibility of maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses in Liverpool, part of the near 400 we operate across Merseyside, Cheshire & South Lancashire. Vehicles range from buses including Dennis, Scania and Optare. We have invested (& continue to do so) in new diesel & Hydrogen buses, and thus there’s some state of the art vehicles to work on.
Don’t worry if you’ve not worked on these vehicles before (or indeed buses) – we’ll train you on everything you need to know, and you’ll be supported by a great team of Fitters, fellow Technicians, Electricians and Engineering Managers who all pull together to do a brilliant job.
And it’s not all depot-based work. You could find yourself out and about dealing with vehicle issues on the road, so it won’t always be the same four walls you’re looking at!
Aside from the reward of helping to deliver an incredible experience to our customers, there’s plenty more we can offer:
You don’t have to come from a bus background (but we wouldn’t be put off if you did either!), but you will need to have worked in a engineering technician field – truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm – if it moves, it’s good experience for working on buses!
40 Hours Per Week
