The Role

EDO is seeking  a Marketing Ops & Events Associate to support the planning, organization, and execution of EDO’s marketing operations and event activations. You’ll help keep the marketing engine running smoothly — from tracking budgets and vendor contracts to coordinating logistics for events and marketing campaigns. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing teammates, sales partners, and senior leaders to ensure every activation is flawless, on time, and on brand.

This is an ideal role for someone with 2–4 years of experience in marketing operations or event coordination who’s organized, resourceful, and energized by figuring out how to make things run better — not just do them the same way twice. You’ll get exposure to the full marketing mix and gain hands-on experience in process improvement, digital systems, and live event execution.

What You Will Do

  • Marketing Operations & Project Support: Maintain and optimize team trackers, dashboards, and internal processes to keep projects running smoothly and on time. Coordinate approvals, contracts, and vendor payments.
  • Event Coordination: Support logistics for EDO events and sponsorship activations — including industry conferences, client dinners, and virtual sessions. Handle timelines, RSVP management, and on-site support.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Serve as a point of contact for external partners such as venues, design vendors, and production agencies. Ensure clear communication and follow-through on deliverables.
  • Internal Communications & Documentation: Keep project files, briefs, and shared resources organized and up to date for cross-team visibility. Help distribute meeting notes and action items.
  • Marketing Tech & Systems: Support basic updates and reporting via HubSpot (website and CRM), Google Analytics, and other marketing tools. Collaborate with the team to track campaign performance and impact.
  • Process & Innovation: Identify ways to streamline tasks and improve workflows using automation and AI tools for organization, reporting, and briefing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, and Client Service teams to support EDO’s go-to-market programs and ensure marketing efforts align with business goals.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing operations, event planning, or project coordination (in-house or agency).
  • Experience working with marketing tech tools such as HubSpot (CRM or CMS), Google Analytics, Slack, and Asana (or similar project management platforms).
  • Strong organizational skills — able to manage multiple projects and deadlines without letting details slip.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — comfortable drafting internal updates, vendor emails, and briefs.
  • A collaborative teammate who takes initiative and follows through — comfortable asking questions and offering solutions.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and basic design tools (Canva or Figma a plus).
  • Eagerness to learn and experiment with AI tools to make work faster and smarter.
  • Curiosity about the media, marketing, and advertising landscape — and an interest in how data is transforming it.

In your first 6–12 months, success will look like:

  • Flawless follow-through: You’ve established yourself as the go-to teammate who keeps projects organized and on track — from contracts and event logistics to vendor coordination and internal reporting.
  • Operational rhythm: You’ve streamlined key marketing processes — tracking budgets, shipments, and schedules with precision, using digital tools and AI to make recurring workflows faster and clearer.
  • Events that shine: You’ve supported 3–5 successful in-person or virtual events — managing details, anticipating needs, and ensuring EDO shows up seamlessly to clients and partners.
  • Trusted communication: You’re known for proactive, respectful communication — flagging issues early, following up reliably, and making it easy for teammates and vendors to do their best work.
  • Curiosity and growth: You’ve taken ownership of your learning — mastering our marketing systems and tools, contributing new ideas, and showing initiative that points to your long-term growth at EDO.
