This position is employed by Airbnb Inc., however the role will provide direct support to Airbnb.org, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on emergency response and provides temporary housing for people in times of crisis. Airbnb.org is governed by an independent Board of Directors and its mission is to unlock the power of sharing space, resources, and support in times of need. From Australia to France, hosts have opened up their homes and helped provide accommodations to over 200,000 people. The Difference You Will Make:

The Brand Marketing Manager will play a critical role in helping to build the brand marketing strategy for Airbnb.org. You will be responsible for developing and implementing brand marketing programs and campaigns alongside leading our event strategy focused on increased awareness, growth and retention for Airbnb.org supporters. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as PR/communications, growth marketing, host community, design, product, public policy, legal and to bring brand marketing campaigns and events to life. 

You are creative, innovative and collaborative while also having analytical skills to measure effectiveness. You have excellent communication skills and can think outside the box. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Build and execute against the Airbnb.org Brand and Digital Marketing strategies. Including building branding marketing campaigns, owning the full funnel of digital marketing, comms and PR, and co-marketing partnerships portfolio.
  • Align the marketing roadmap with all cross-functional stakeholders across Airbnb.org and key Airbnb.com stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial business objectives with External Communications, Marketing, Product, Host Communications and Community.
  • Work with the Brand Marketing Manager to Identify new ways to grow awareness of the Airbnb.org brand both internally and externally. This includes brand marketing campaigns alongside other experiential marketing, partnerships and a Communication Strategy.
  • Work directly with the Airbnb Communications team to develop an Airbnb.org Communication strategy to drive both awareness, leads, and donations.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager the end-to-end experience for supporters and donors through Airbnb.org. This includes communications, reporting, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Manage the Brand Marketing and Digital Marketing Managers ensuring that you’re investing in their career growth and building a diverse and an inclusive environment across the team
  • Own the Airbnb.org Marketing vision and roadmap, getting cross functional alignment on objectives and key results across the Airbnb.org team and key Airbnb.com stakeholders, including External Communications, Marketing, Host Communications and Community.
  • Build strong ties and strategic relationships with Airbnb.com Marketing, Community, Host communications, External Communications, and Partnerships to align and build towards mutually beneficial objectives.
  • Be creative and resourceful in identifying new ways to amplify the Airbnb.org brand and supporter experience —define the opportunities, influence stakeholders to marshall the resources, and manage the team through execution.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to drive increased acquisition and retention of our recurring donation products and one-time donation experience. 

Your Expertise 

  • 12+ years of experience in Marketing and/or Community strategy, 
  • Experience building and managing teams including leading teams; 
  • Direct experience in the social impact space (nonprofit, CSR, government, etc.) in the social impact, diversity and inclusion, nonprofit, CSR and/or government sectors a plus
  • Experience managing an end-to-end marketing team: Track record across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention across a variety of performance marketing and community strategies.
  • Ability to work with data and accessing internal reporting tools.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with large, complex cross-functional teams. Including designers and writers. 
  • Fluency in product marketing and ability to work with product and engineering teams to create the best user-experience. 
  • Ability to drive consensus through influence across leadership teams and various disciplines. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can both build the strategy and execute against it.
  • Flexible, entrepreneurial generalist who can oversee a wide breadth of marketing approaches and adapt tactics as needed.
  • Ability to lead with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills; ability to incorporate research and user data into strategy.
  • Ability to build and lead innovative end-to-end global strategy.
  • Fluency in lifecycle performance metrics, and an ability to work with them to understand near-term and long-term impact.
  • Ability to act with confidence and decisiveness and to lead and have influence over people and groups of widely varying disciplines and backgrounds, including technical and executive team members.
  • A willingness to work across altitudes: from getting your hands dirty to make things happen, to presenting a vision to senior executives (i.e. managing projects and driving execution).

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
