The Marketing and Communications Associate will play a key role on the Corporate Communications Caregiver Communications team, supporting Cleveland Clinic’s internal communications initiatives that inform, educate, and inspire more than 77,000 caregivers. This role focuses on developing, writing, and editing engaging content for internal channels such as the caregiver intranet, newsletters, and digital campaigns while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to strengthen caregiver connection and alignment to Cleveland Clinic’s mission. A caregiver in this position works remotely out of Northeast Ohio, Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Must have flexibility to work on site occasionally.  

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Produces editorial content that is relevant to a variety of internal audiences (write/edit) for all internal channels, including Intranet and e-newsletters. 
  • Collaborates within the team and across business functions to drive coordinated execution.  
  • Monitors, researches, and analyzes communications best practices. 
  • Assists the Caregiver Communications team in the development and evaluation of comprehensive communications strategies and supports the implementation of tactics. 
  • Monitors the effectiveness of communications tactics.  
  • Develops, writes and researches for internal communications. 
  • Posts articles to the intranet using Content Management System, Photoshop and other software tools. 
  • Help develop and execute strategic communication plans for key client areas, including annual plans as well as on a project-by-project basis, including projects for the Caregiver Communications team. 
  • Opportunity to work on special projects, assist in responding to issues and crisis situations and assisting the team as needed. 
  • Builds and fosters relationships with key internal stakeholders relevant to focus area, to further the reputation and key priorities. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years of program development, marketing, and project management skills OR Associates Degree and six years of experience, OR High School Diploma and eight years of experience
  • Comfortable with Microsoft 365 suite. 
  • Eager to continuously learn new technologies the department leverages to meet goals.
  • Strong listening skills and willingness to speak up when opportunities arise to improve audience’s experience with communications
  • Organized and have a “planner” mindset
  • Solutions oriented

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Experience supporting marketing strategy 
  • Background in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate storytelling
  • Experience writing and editing for digital platforms (intranet, newsletters, email campaigns, etc.)
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and tools such as Microsoft 365, Photoshop, and SharePoint
  • Experience working in a large or matrixed organization; healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and tone alignment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 15 lbs. ​.
