Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to join our Precision Engagement Systems team in St. Charles, Missouri!

This is an opportunity to manage multiple production lines within Cruise Missile Systems or Direct Attack.

This position will be exposed to mature production and production programs still going through development; will lead a team and use the Boeing Production System to drive continuous improvement, eliminate waste, and achieve targets on specific key performance indicators; will also maintain positive relationships with other teams and drive a deep understanding of the Boeing Production System principles and standards, production health, and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Ability to work assignment of any Shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience leading projects and/or teams
  • More than 3 years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • More than 3 years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience leading a team, formally or informally  
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience managing with collective bargaining agreement and/or a union-represented workforce
  • More than 3 years of experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
  • More than 3 years of experience using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
  • Utilization of MESci with production and fabrication work orders
  • Utilization of Weapons Integration System (WIS)
  • Utilization of eVisuals TrackPlan

Summary pay range: $104,550 – $141,450 USD
