Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Assembler (Level C), to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift.

As an Experienced Manufacturing Assembler, you will play a vital role in assembling, reworking, and repairing aircraft components and systems to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will involve interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents to guide your work, using hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete complex assemblies and repairs. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, rework, and repair aircraft structures, systems, and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assigned tasks accurately

  • This is an emergent function for the Boeing 787 involving structures and interiors, where rework tasks are performed on damaged parts to restore them to manufacturing build quality. Most of the work will take place in the shop and includes blending, finishing, painting, adhesives, and color matching. Additional tasks involve drilling, sanding, cold working, and reforming parts

  • Inspect and verify the quality of work to ensure compliance with Boeing standards and regulatory requirements

  • Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

  • Document work performs and maintains accurate records of rework and repairs

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ of experience working in a manufacturing, assembly and/or aerospace environment

  • 3+ years' of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints

  • 1+ year of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with rework processes (structural and interiors) and/or ability to restore finishes and color match cabin interior paint

  • Experience training other

  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and quality systems

  • Certification or training in relevant manufacturing or assembly techniques
