We’re looking for a Manager of our Test Automation team who will steer a high impact quality engineering practice that underpins our strategic initiative to re envision a broad suite of enterprise applications. You will set test automation strategy, mentor a growing team of engineers, and ensure that release cycles are predictable, reliable, and continuously improving. Your remit spans governance, tooling, process optimization, and stakeholder communication—driving a culture of quality across the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities
People

Test Strategy & Planning
- Owns the end‑to‑end test strategy—including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing—for multiple product lines.
- Translates business and technical requirements into risk‑based test plans and automation roadmaps.
- Establishes and tracks quality KPIs (e.g., defect containment, escaped defects, automation coverage) and communicates insights to Product, Engineering, and Executive stakeholders.
- Acts as escalation point for critical quality issues and drives root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
Automation Framework Development
- Directs the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reliable automation frameworks (Katalon/Selenium/Playwright/SpecFlow) across web, API, and micro‑services layers.
- Integrates automated suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable shift‑left testing and continuous delivery.
- Guides the adoption of BDD/TDD practices, service virtualization, and containerized test environments.
- Manages testing budget, vendor relationships, and tooling licenses.
- Champions continuous improvement—identifying process bottlenecks and implementing data‑driven optimization.
- Ensures compliance with company coding standards, security guidelines, and audit requirements.
Quality Metrics & Reporting
- Establishes and tracks quality KPIs (e.g., defect containment, escaped defects, automation coverage) and communicates insights to Product, Engineering, and Executive stakeholders.
- Acts as escalation point for critical quality issues and drives root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation for all testing activities to ensure auditability and knowledge retention.
Collaboration & Execution
- Partner with application developers to troubleshoot issues and document defects.
- Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to project planning and estimation for features and enhancements.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and support knowledge sharing.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 9+ years in software quality engineering, with 3+ years leading distributed automation teams.
- Deep expertise in at least one programming language (C#, or Java) and object‑oriented design.
- Proven track record building and scaling automation frameworks for large‑scale enterprise applications.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience validating data at rest and in motion.
- Familiarity with performance (JMeter, k6) and security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
- Excellent stakeholder management, prioritization, and communication skills.
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent certification is a plus.
