TaskUs is looking for a highly motivated, inquisitive, and enthusiastic Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting. We seek an experienced professional who is a self-starter and enjoys taking on the continued development of the technical accounting and financial reporting processes in a rapid growth setting. This position will work across the Finance organization and with other key partners such as Accounting operations, legal, investor relations, and HR to build out a best-in-class Technical Accounting process.
This role reports to the Director, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting and is responsible for continuing to strengthen the technical accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will stay up to date on new accounting and regulatory developments and educate staff and others within the company. Public company experience is required.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain company accounting policies, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP.
Support critical accounting areas, including contract reviews for revenue recognition (ASC 606) and accounting for leases (ASC 842), as well as hedge accounting, stock-based compensation and earnings per share.
Perform technical accounting research and prepare technical memos for new accounting standards and complex transactions.
Manage the preparation of Form 10-Q’s and 10-K to be filed with the SEC, including all supporting schedules.
Manage the consolidation of monthly financial statements and review financial information for accuracy, including analytical reviews.
Develop and maintain proper internal controls relating to the technical accounting and financial reporting processes.
Proactively monitor new financial accounting pronouncements and SEC reporting rules and assess their impact on the Company’s financial statements.
Interface with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Work directly with accounting managers in local country operations as needed.

Experience/Credentials
5+ years of recent financial reporting experience, including mandatory experience in a public company. A combination of private industry and public accounting experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
Active CPA designation or equivalent certification is required.
Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
Demonstrated experience with managing SOX processes at a public US company.
Experience with the preparation and filing of SEC compliant reports.
Recent experience with reporting systems, preferably Workiva.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools.
