At Lucid Motors, our Global Supply Quality Engineering team ensures that innovative products meet the highest standards of quality across aggressive timelines worldwide. In this leadership role, you will manage supplier quality for Chassis & Fasteners, guiding a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and Leads to deliver flawless execution from design through launch. This position requires strong collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and supplier partners to drive quality strategies, mitigate risks, and maintain excellence throughout the product lifecycle. 

You will lead global initiatives, mentor high-performing teams, and partner with suppliers to implement robust quality systems and processes. Success in this role demands technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

You Will 

  • Develop and execute supplier quality strategies for Chassis & Fasteners aligned with Lucid Motors' objectives. 
  • Build and lead a global team of Supplier Quality Engineers and Leads, setting clear OKRs and KPIs. 
  • Drive APQP and NPI activities, including supplier assessments, DFM/A reviews, and PPAP approvals. 
  • Cultivate strong supplier partnerships, monitor performance, and implement improvement plans. 
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues during launch and mass production. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure quality standards. 
  • Provide leadership in budget planning, resource allocation, and reporting on supplier performance and risks. 
  • Travel globally (25–75%) to Lucid and supplier sites as needed. 

You Bring 

  • 8+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing with a focus on Chassis & Fastener systems. 
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading SQE teams and driving global team development. 
  • Proven expertise in supplier quality tools (ISO, IATF, GD&T) and automotive core pillars (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA). 
  • Strong program management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Hands-on experience conducting supplier audits and implementing quality improvement strategies. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Smartsheet, Minitab, JIRA, and Tableau is a plus. 
  • BS in Engineering required; postgraduate degree in Business Management preferred. 
  • Certifications such as Project Management, Lead Auditor, ASQ, or Six Sigma Black Belt are a plus. 
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
