$78,773.63 - $122,099.12The Manager of Hospital accounts receivable is responsible for all management functions related to the collection of all claims billed to insurance for Albany Med Health SystemThe Manager is responsible for overseeing the billing staff. The manager will also have daily external contact with Federal/State agencies and third-party payers. The manager will play an active role in all monthly scheduled department and/or payor meetings. Each month, the manager will complete an analysis of open accounts and denials as well as work with the departments as necessary to reduce future denials. The manager will serve as the knowledge resource for all billing questions posed by the team and executive leadership.
Qualifications:
Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
Interpersonal skills. Having the ability to speak and interact with all staff to ensure competence, productivity and motivation.
Ability to interpret, communicate and implement regulatory changes and/or Third-Party procedural mandates.
Ensure quality and quantity of work for the billing and follow up units.
Ability to obtain and maintain professional and productive with Third Party payors.
Manage difficult situations effectively and appropriately. Recognizes critical situations and responds promptly and effectively.
