Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Manager, Marketing Technology & Database Management to be a part of making this happen.
Position Overview and Objective
The Marketing Database Manager will be responsible for managing the health and quality of our marketing database, email programs, and broader support of campaign operations. They will partner closely with the teams that communicate into our database to ensure we comply with best practices, and they have actionable data to use in their campaigns.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Partner with Senior Marketing Analyst to develop and implement database marketing strategies to achieve business objectives, including customer acquisition, retention and engagement
Partner with Senior Marketing Analyst to develop segmentation strategies within the marketing database so the teams communicating to the database can access cohorts of contacts to market to in a speedy and efficient way
Oversee the maintenance, security and integrity of the marketing database, ensuring that data quality and compliance with external and internal regulations and policies
Set standards around database health and work with the marketing leadership team to develop strategies to improve the quality and health of our database
Work with cross-functional teams, including IT to ensure seamless data integration across Go-To-Customer systems and tools.
Stay up to date on latest customer data trends and requirements (e.g. GDPR, CAN-SPAM), ensuring our teams have appropriate guidance and safeguards to comply with all regulations
Act as ‘air traffic control’ for our outbound email communications, ensuring we are communicating in a timely, appropriate manner and not over saturating any cohort of contacts in our database.
Plan, create, and deploy targeted email campaigns, including newsletters, product announcements, and automated drip series
Support list import and cleaning process for Marketing campaigns into Marketo
Key Skills
High level of proficiency in Marketing Automation Tools, Marketo preferred
Able to translate data insights for business stakeholders. Solid understanding of data segmentation and targeting and the importance of data quality and consistency
Motivated, detail-focused, collaborative
Proficiency in database management systems (like SQL) and marketing automation platforms
Strong analytical and data analysis skills, excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
Minimum Qualifications
5-7+ years Marketing Operations experience, ideally within sizeable B2B companies
Environment and Physical Demands
Work is primarily sedentary in nature and can be executed sitting or standing positions in an office environment.
Requires ability to utilize technology related to using a keyboard, verbal communication, and work with device screens which require visual acuity.
If located in a company office, often requires the mobility to physically navigate the space.
In the event of business travel, mobility sufficient to utilize public and private transport and navigate to essential locations.
May include moving or lifting of 25 pounds or less (e.g., office chair, reams of paper).
