The Incoming Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all components entering our manufacturing process meet stringent quality requirements. This position is responsible for building and leading a world-class team of Incoming Quality Engineers, developing robust inspection processes, and collaborating closely with suppliers to maintain excellence. By driving proactive quality measures and continuous improvement, this role safeguards our factory’s quality and delivery objectives while supporting Lucid’s mission to redefine luxury electric mobility.

 

The Role

· Build and lead a world-class team of Incoming Quality Engineers. Establish and manage priorities and project assignments for all team members.

· Create and implement departmental processes such as control and reaction plans to protect factory’s quality & delivery plans and forge excellent cross-functional relationships with supplier’s quality team.

· Strong dimensional control & part acceptance criteria knowledge

· Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.

· Develop and implement training plans for supervisors and team members.

· Work with suppliers to create new manufacturing techniques when necessary to meet design requirements.

· Develop quality plans, design test methods and gages, identify potential failure modes and process weaknesses and drive corrective actions.

· Create, implement and review all manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and workstation layouts for part inspection with a proactive mindset

· Specify all tooling and equipment for all current and planned manufacturing needs

· Investigate supplier quality issues to determine root cause, conduct incoming parts inspections as needed and identify and implement corrective actions.

· Identify, trial and implement any new tools, equipment, and processes

· Traveling up to 25%, occasionally on short notice

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering and +3 years of equivalent experience required in automotive Industry

· Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities.

· Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings and an in-depth knowledge of quality standards and specifications in area of placement.

· Team development and demonstrated leadership in quality or manufacturing organizations.

· Ability to develop an improvement plan for suppliers to achieve desired results and avoid affecting factory’s performance

· Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification preferred

· Masters preferred
