This role ensures that employees have secure, reliable, and intuitive tools that enable productivity, connection, and innovation — anywhere, on any device.

The manager oversees platforms such as Google Workspace, Google  Drive, Google Meets, Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, Zoom, and other collaboration technologies, driving adoption, user engagement, and alignment with organizational goals. Acting as a bridge between IT, business units, and end users, this leader ensures digital workplace solutions enhance communication, simplify work, and improve overall employee experience.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Digital Workplace Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute the digital workplace roadmap aligned with business strategy and IT vision. Develop strategies for support and implementation for a broad range of experience with devices (e.g phones, laptop, video and audio conferencing equipment). Drive adoption and optimization of collaboration platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Drive, Google Meets,  Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive). Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance productivity and user experience. Lead modernization initiatives that improve device management, mobility, and hybrid work capabilities.
  • Collaboration Platform Management: Oversee administration, governance, and lifecycle management of collaboration tools. Partner with Security, Infrastructure, and Applications teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and well-integrated. Implement automation and self-service capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce support demand. Define and monitor KPIs for collaboration tools, ensuring uptime, usability, and adoption goals are met.
  • User Experience & Adoption: Champion user experience by engaging with departments to understand needs and pain points. Develop training, communication, and change management strategies to increase adoption and satisfaction. Gather user feedback and analytics to inform continuous improvement and prioritize enhancements. Promote digital literacy and collaboration best practices across the organization.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, analysts, and support specialists. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer service. Partner with IT leadership to build operational maturity and improve cross-team coordination.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations and support for digital workplace and collaboration tools. Establish clear governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance standards. Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines. Manage vendor relationships and evaluate service delivery performance.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing digital workplace or collaboration platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of ITIL or service management frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in Google Workplace ecosystem or Microsoft 365 ecosystem

  • Strong strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and communicate impact.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders and other stakeholders
  • High degree of empathy and user advocacy — focused on experience, not just technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into digital solutions.
  • Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and large-scale operational initiatives.
