1. Leads, develops, and guides other data engineers on the team and supports
their career growth.
2. Receives objective-based assignments and uses knowledge in data engineering
to determine resources to meet schedules and goals. Designs and implements
data pipelines for complex data processing tasks and analyzes and optimizes
data pipeline performance and reliability, working with Product and Analytics
teams to ensure alignment.
3. Support Product managers implementing strategic direction on large scale
business problems by engaging broadly across F5 to understand customer and
business problems, identify gaps, and guide by prioritizing business
opportunities that tie customer’s experience to insights gathered by data
analytics, enabled by the data engineering function. Synthesizes business
challenges from multiple business domains into delivery plans on how to
address leveraging data engineering.
4. Supports Solution Owners in coordinating and organizing data engineering
projects from conception to completion. Ensures data quality, data
accessibility, and the use of proper tools and technology to develop and deploy
data pipelines, design and implement data storage solutions, and optimize data
storage and retrieval processes to support the needs of various teams.
5. Interacts frequently with data engineering professionals, provides technical
leadership, and learns and partners with other F5 teams. Partners with Product,
Analytics, Software Engineering, and Data Science leadership.
