Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Manager, Corporate Actions & Income Processing to join our growing Operations team. In this role you will own the full event lifecycle—from announcement through allocation and reconciliation—across equities, ETFs, mutual funds, and fixed income (with expansion into alternatives and listed options). This role is ideal for a senior functional expert or high-level individual contributor with deep operational and technical knowledge who can lead modernization, automation, and control initiatives.

You’ll stabilize and document current workflows, enhance controls and efficiency, and partner cross-functionally to deliver a scalable, audit-ready operation. While people leadership experience is welcome, the emphasis is on subject matter expertise, process optimization, and hands-on ownership.

Your impact

  • Corporate Action Processing: Monitor, review, and process all mandatory and voluntary corporate actions—mergers, splits, rights issues, tender offers, warrants—from announcement through completion.
  • Income Events: Oversee dividends, interest, and related payments; ensure proper withholding, tax treatment, and cost-basis adjustments.
  • Event Lifecycle Management: Manage announcements, options, elections, allocations, entitlements, and reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Client & Custodian Coordination: Communicate voluntary event details, collect instructions, and submit elections via custodians, DTCC PBS/CA Web/AIP, or proxy agents within deadlines.
  • Controls & Exception Management: Implement and monitor maker-checker controls, exception dashboards, KPIs, and audit-ready evidence.
  • Automation & Modernization: Partner with Product and Engineering to streamline workflows, UAT new builds, and drive straight-through processing (STP).
  • Risk Management: Identify, escalate, and resolve discrepancies; ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge Management: Build and maintain robust process documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures to support scalability and training.
  • Vendor & System Ownership: Manage key vendor and platform relationships (DTCC, proxy vendors, custodians), and contribute to platform enhancements (FIS, XSP/Phase3, AIP).

What you bring

  • Experience - 3+ years of experience working in brokerage, clearing, or custody operations focused on corporate actions, dividends, or income processing.
    • Strong working knowledge of DTCC PBS
    • Deep understanding of mandatory and voluntary event types, timelines, market standards, and tax/cost-basis implications.
  • Education - Ideally looking for a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Securities licenses - Series 7 required; Series 24 preferred (or ability to obtain).
  • Ownership - The pride you put into every aspect of your work is unparalleled and undeniable
  • Superb communication - Intentional dialogue is a superpower. You listen as well as you share your perspective with others.
  • Resilience - We’re inspired by your unwavering determination to achieve success, no matter the adversity you face along the way.
  • Assurance - Your confidence is brilliant, yet ego-less. You possess a strong knowledge base, the ability to discover the unknown, and are open to differing perspectives.
  • Creative problem solving - Identifying the problem is simply not enough. You’re instinctually creative with your approach in finding solutions to roadblocks.
  • Bonus points if you bring
    • Hands-on experience with FIS and XSP (Phase3/XSP CA platform) strongly preferred
    • Experience with alternatives or OCC option adjustments a plus..
