Job Description Summary

The Clinical Informatics Manager reports to the Director of Informatics under the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) in support of Information Solution’s academic, research, and healthcare missions. This role collaborates with clinical and IS leaders in the development and deployment of integrated information systems/technologies that support the delivery of safe, cost-effective and efficient patient care. The Manager provides oversight and leadership of the Clinical Informatics and User Adoption teams including setting goals and priorities, resource management, facilitating communications, and identifying opportunities for overall IS service improvements. This position is responsible for the tactile alliance to organization and departmental strategies.

Job Description

Additional Job Description

Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in nursing with minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience and two (2) years of clinical informatics experience (i.e., developing, implementing, and/or supporting clinical information systems) or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in nursing with minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience and three (3) years of clinical informatics experience (i.e., developing, implementing, and/or supporting clinical information systems). Three (3) years of previous leadership experience preferred.

Experience or certification with Epic preferred, must be obtained within 1 year of hire.  Industry accepted informatics/information technology certification preferred, NI-BC obtained within 1.5 years. Demonstrated project management experience in IT and healthcare required.

Current South Carolina or compact state RN licensure is required.
