What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Job Summary
The Manager, Accounting will support Cardinal Health's Presource Manufacturing sites and will provide support to the Presource Converters Director, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and supervision of the closing process, as well as recurring or unusual adjustments, ensuring they have the necessary support and approval in accordance with CAH policies and GAAP
  • Approval of Journal Entries processed by the Cardinal Health team, important focus on inventory related accounts, complex, large and unusual entries
  • Support in monthly review of manufacturing variance reports vs. the operational and administrative expense plan
  • Responsible to lead the completion of external financial statements audits for US and international statutory financials
  • If required, support for compliance with government audit requirements
  • Support in ensuring that organizational procedures are in place to adequately safeguard plant resources
  • Support in internal SOX audits
  • Provide financial information required by Cardinal Health Leadership
  • Submit recurrent reports for Key Indicators, Risk & Opportunities, month end close reports, budgeting, and other corporate requirements for a small Kitting manufacturing site in the US
  • Provide the necessary support to Cardinal to achieve the organization's objectives
  • Monitor the capital forecast to ensure compliance is being achieved in a timely manner and review the capital WBS before issuing them to Capital team for processing
  • Provide support for the plant's system and initiatives, comply with the company's ethics policies, and comply with the FCPA
  • Promote and disseminate Cardinal Health's values. Comply with BASC and C-TPAT policies and regulations.
  • Participation in permanent work, safety, and environmental teams, as well as reporting accidents and near-misses and collaborating to meet safety goals: LTAs, LTD, and OSHA

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience, preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Experience in Manufacturing, highly preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, highly preferred

  • SAP knowledge, preferred

  • Financial Audit background, preferred (from a Big 4 firm, preferred)

  • USGAAP and MXGAAP knowledge, preferred

Anticipated salary range: $91,400 - $130,600
