Job Details:
Responsibility: This position is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs on the equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Pass Maintenance Safety Test
• Must have special lockout/tagout training
• Maintain and repair equipment as directed
• Be able to analyze potential problems before downtime results
• Be able to prepare and/or read layouts for designing and building projects
• Be able to perform basic welding, cutting tasks
• Assist outside contractors with special projects '
• Operate power tools, welders, grinders, etc
• Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets
• Standing/Walking majority of shift
• Stooping/bending required for some tasks
• Climbing ladders/steps to reach some equipment
• Lifting to and in excess of 70 pounds
• Develop a thorough knowledge of plant layout, tools, parts, and equipment
• Troubleshoot basic electric, including motors, starters, etc
Requirement:
Plant Maintenance positions require that the applicant is currently enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance Program OR have 6 months of experience working in Industrial Maintenance OR one year of classroom training from a Technical College OR must have graduated from a technical college with a certification in Electronics Technology or Industrial Maintenance Technology. Industrial maintenance will be considered work in mechanic, fabricator, electrician or plant maintenance. Applicants will be considered from the following counties in AR: Washington, Benton and Madison. They will also be considered from McDonald County in MO.
Other Duties: Work as directed by supervisor.
Communication Skills: Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to follow instructions both written and orally. Basic knowledge of math to utilize blueprints and plant layouts.
Special Skills: On job Training.
Equipment: Hairnets/beardnets, smocks, gloves, hand/power jacks. Must have basic hand tools. Hairnets/beardnets, smocks, hearing protection, locks, and tags for LOTO. Steel toed safety shores. Safety glasses/shields when performing tasks such as grinding or welding.
Environmental: Working inside and outside of facility as directed, exposed to weather elements outside, wet floors, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment repairs, moving objects, humid, noisy, cramped working quarters at times. Chemical solutions used in cleaning agents and sanitizers.
