THE ROLE:

 

Entegris is currently seeking a Machinist to join our team.  This position will be based in our Decatur, TX facility.

The Machinist will perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials utilizing mills, lathes, grinding machines, band saws and other types of machines.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY FIRST WEEK AND THURSDAY-SATURDAY SECOND WEEK 3:15PM-3:15AM

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions.

  • Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)

  • Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.

  • Perform machine setups and/or operate equipment that is set up by more skilled operators.

  • Complete machining tasks within a customer job.

  • Routinely perform initial setup on new parts.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products.

  • Edit program feeds/speeds/taper adjustments to accommodate tolerances.

  • May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

 

WHAT WE SEEK:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

  • Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings.

  • Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.

  • Able to interpret inspection reports to make offset adjustments on CNC.

  • Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.

  • Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);

  • Work any shift as required to meet business needs.

  • Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus.

  • Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
