JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Morgan Academic Center is accepting applications for content tutor positions for all course subjects and levels. All applicants must have a (3.0) GPA or above and have earned at least an (A-) in the course(s) they anticipate supporting and/or have a commensurate academic background.

This position is limited to a maximum of (20) hours per week (including nights and Sundays) and needs to be flexible in order to accommodate student-athlete demanding schedules. However, hours are not guaranteed and may vary each week/semester.

Responsibilities typically include:

  • Maintaining compliance with all tutorial program policies/procedures.
  • Attending initial and ongoing tutorial program trainings.
  • Assessing assigned tutee(s) needs and tailoring tutorial support by providing supplemental course instructional support for scheduled students.
  • Writing session reports following each tutor meeting.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
