Logistics Coordination & Execution
Coordinate the movement of materials, packaging, and bulk shipments within the plant to support timely and efficient production.
Manage logistics tracking and reporting using systems such as SAP, Tableau, and Trailer Tracker.
Ensure accurate and compliant shipment of hazardous materials, including documentation and labeling.
Execute timely and accurate SAP transactions for goods receipts, shipping confirmations, and inventory adjustments.
Receive and process small package deliveries, maintaining proper documentation.
Vendor & Cost Management
Partner with logistics service providers (Odyssey, BDP, Livingston, etc.) to manage freight operations and optimize performance.
Analyze controllable costs (e.g., detention, demurrage) and develop strategies to reduce or prevent them.
Identify cost reduction opportunities through improved equipment utilization and off-hiring.
Support preparation of the annual operating plan by validating cost data and tracking vendor performance.
Inventory & Documentation Control
Maintain accurate inventory records to meet financial reporting and operational needs.
Ensure proper organization and retention of both digital and physical shipping documentation.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
Contribute to process improvement initiatives from idea generation through implementation.
Assist in covering other specialist roles during periods of high demand or absence.
Investigate and communicate service complaints to ensure timely resolution.
Foster a positive, solution-oriented work environment that supports change, collaboration, and ongoing development.
Maintain required training and compliance certifications on time.

The following are required for the role
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Experience in driving change, implementing ideas, and supporting process improvements.
Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
Hands-on experience with SAP ERP or similar systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The following are preferred for the role:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired.
APICS certification desired.
