Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

Our Internal Logistics team plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials across our operations. We manage warehouse organization, oversee delivery logistics, and optimize internal transportation processes to support timely and efficient operations. By maintaining smooth logistical coordination, our team directly impacts the company’s ability to meet customer demands and operational goals.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $29 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Utilize Practical Problem-Solving methods to identify root cause issues.
  • Identify trends and patterns in departmental performance data, highlighting areas of improvement or concern.
  • Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Lead project to implement Digitalization of Plant Shortage Reporting.
  • Identify KPI improvements within team.
  • Present findings and recommended actions to department management.
  • Utilize lean principals to continuously improve departmental processes, standardize and document best practice.
  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June) 
  • Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field
  • Training and /or experience in lean principals
  • Familiarity or experience with problem solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis(RCA), 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagrams, and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycles required
  • Familiarity or experience with waste elimination strategies and continuous improvement methodologies is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis), Power BI (for logistics performance dashboards) required
  • Familiarity or experience with systems (SAP or other ERP systems), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Visio and AutoCad
  • Strong team collaboration skills 
  • Customer orientated with the drive to develop customer-focused solutions
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally 
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change.
  • Effective communication, openness to feedback, and a proactive approach to problem-solving 
  • Passion for Automotive or Trucking
