A Key member of the NAM Supply Chain team, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination and monitoring of vital logistics operations such as warehousing, transportation and order execution processes across the North American Market. The key objective of this role is to direct & coordinate the delivery functions within the NAM Market, ensuring product is delivered on time, in full and at competitive freight rates aligned to freight rules working directly with the NAM Logistics Manager. Along with these deliverables, the Logistics Coordinator will analyse data, trends and develop KPI dashboards to drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at lowering cost to serve while improving customer service levels & inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
•Directly works on improving logistical outcomes, partnering with stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and implements initiatives to optimise & lower our cost to serve.
•Provides guidance and assistance on transport, warehousing and logistical processes of the NAM supply chain. Assists management in achieving KPI’s across transportation processes, both within Coates & 3PL warehouses.
•Ensures optimization of logistics function, adopting current industry trends & best practices. Measures & reports on delivery performance, with a strong focus on systems integration improvements to enable efficiency.
•Maintains and monitors key data pertaining to logistical outcomes to inform future decision making for direct and senior management.
•Identify and assist implementation measures to lower our cost to serve and optimize across the network.
•Investigate, identify and implement any opportunities to improve the logistics operation and foster continuous improvement. Support efforts to promote best practice ideas across Coates & 3PL’s.
•Responsible for logistical daily processing across the NAM Market, working directly with Carriers, 3PL service providers and internal stakeholders.
Capabilities:
•Coordinating inbound, outbound & 3PL activities to ensure product is fulfilled and delivered on time and at a completive rate
•Externally work with 3PL provider to ensure all products are shipped to requested locations in full and on time
•Ensure Local warehousing & distribution deliverables per the SLA
•Work with global supply chain functions to align on objectives and strategies
•Work on projects of all sizes and business scale impact
Qualifications & Experience:
•Proven experience in a supply chain or logistics role – Min 3 year
•Customer service oriented to be able to support internal business partners and maintain vendor/partner relationships
•Proven agility and flexibility to cope with demands of multiple concurrent tasks and changes in priority of work activities
•Experience building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•Well organized (structured) way of working with strong attention to detail and solutions focused
•High attention to detail
•Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate Excel
•Takes initiative by liaising and directly advising internal stakeholders, ensuring excellent cross department communication.
•Remains calm and flexible whilst working on multiple projects or issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
