YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, our Localization team is a vital, transversal engine within the Product organization. Our mission is to deliver a user experience for non-English speakers that is just as intuitive, engaging, and powerful as it is for English speakers.

Glovo is looking for a Localization Manager to lead and shape the future of our global product experience. This is a key leadership role within our Product organization, with a direct impact on how millions of users in 23+ markets interact with Glovo daily. You’ll lead a dedicated team of Localization Specialists, drive our global localization strategy, and ensure our solutions are locally relevant, scalable, and of the highest quality.

As the Localization Manager, you’ll work closely with leaders in Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to define and drive our internationalization and localization vision. You will be the company's central point of reference for all localization matters, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

THE JOURNEY

  • Lead and own Glovo's global localization strategy and operations, ensuring a high-quality, locally relevant experience for our users across 23+ markets and 20+ languages.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 3 localization specialists.
  • Foster relationships and collaboration cross-discipline (especially with Product, Engineering, and Tech leaders) and act as the central point of reference for all localization matters, advocating for our international users in all product discussions.
  • Define and own localization quality, efficiency, and cost-management. You will be responsible for setting KPIs, tracking performance, and managing our external vendor network (LSPs).
  • Manage stakeholders, business priorities, and projects, ensuring the right balance between strategic initiatives and operational needs. You'll identify gaps in capacity and resourcing, proactively raising headcount needs.
  • Champion localization and internationalization (i18n) best practices across the company. You will lead strategic initiatives to scale our capabilities, identify process improvements, and drive automation.

Serve as the primary liaison for localization within the broader Delivery Hero group, coordinating shared initiatives, escalating challenges, and ensuring strategic alignment.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • A seasoned localization leader with 5+ years of experience in localization/internationalization, ideally within a fast-paced, in-house tech or product company.
  • A proven people leader with experience managing and mentoring localization specialists, demonstrating a track record of growing talent in dynamic environments.
  • Strategic but hands-on: You thrive at the intersection of vision and execution, switching between setting long-term strategy and diving into operational details to unblock your team.
  • A master of your craft with deep knowledge of localization operations, technology, internationalization standards, and QA best practices.
  • An exceptional communicator and collaborator in English, with strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and educating peers and leadership on complex localization topics.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented: You understand how localization quality and efficiency contribute to business outcomes and product growth, and you use data to inform your decisions.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a "we'll make it work" attitude, capable of navigating ambiguity and building scalable processes where they don't yet exist.

MUST HAVE:

  • Hands-on proficiency with modern TMS platforms (e.g., Phrase, Lokalise, Trados Studio) and a passion for mastering new tools and workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external localization vendors (LSPs), including rate negotiation, performance tracking, quality assurance, and budget management.
  • Deep understanding of software localization challenges, linguistic nuances, and internationalization (i18n) requirements for web and mobile apps.
  • Experience working directly with engineering and product teams in a product-led organization within a high-growth tech environment.
