Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls.

Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions 
In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku. 


Currently we are looking to add a few line runners to our existing team.
These workers will be offered to work at our Nisku-Aries II facility on a rotational day shift: 6 am - 6 pm.
Important: No public transit is available close to our facilities, candidates must have a driver's license, own vehicle or a reliable transportation.
 

Overview 

The Line Runner/Material Handler shall be responsible for a variety of duties, including: loading, unloading, and moving products and materials to the designated locations in the warehouse and plant, and assisting in picking and placing materials orders. The Line Runner/Material Handler is also accountable for checking received orders and confirming that all inventory transactions are completed and documented. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment. 

  • Sort and package fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and deliver to point of use in the plant (manually or with equipment). 

  • Check to ensure subassembly counts are correct and meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area. 

  • May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials. 

  • Confirm inventory transactions are complete.   

  • Participate in clean-up of yard and facility. 

  • Perform all duties in accordance with silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 

  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures. 

  • Ability to work independently. 

  • Time management skills. 

  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.  Good spoken English and ability to communicate well and understand teammates and supervisors is a must for performance and safety.

Working Conditions 

  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards. 

  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). 

  • Employee may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings such as cold or hot weather outdoors; may have combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting throughout the day. 

  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds. 

  • Fast-paced environment. 

  • Overtime as required.
