Job Description:

The Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center (OCCIC) and the Oklahoma Crisis Recovery Unity (OCRU) are looking for highly skilled nurses to join their multi-discipline teams of professionals providing care to high-risk individuals located in the heart of the metro area.  The treatment philosophy is trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person-centered and recovery-oriented in nature. Position is assigned responsibilities for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services for crisis services. This includes providing nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health related education, case management, and execution of the medical regime including administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized to prescribe by state law.

Job Type/Salary:

  • Full-time position
  • Four 10-hour shifts, days will vary
  • Annual Salary is $50,500.00 - $60,000.00 plus holiday, shift differential and benefits!

  • Currently recruiting for day/evening/night shift! (Days: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Evenings: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Nights: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: 

  • LPN III: Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing plus two years of practical nursing experience; or Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) plus two years of practical nursing experience.
  • LPN II: Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one year of practical nursing experience; or Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) plus one year of practical nursing experience. 
  • LPN I: Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing; or Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Special requirements: Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
