[What you will be working on]

[What you will be working on]

  • Conduct lessons for both full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners, fulfilling all responsibilities associated with the teaching role.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum, courseware, and e-learning modules for full-time and part-time courses in the following areas:
    • Power System Analysis
    • Power Transmission, Distribution, and System Protection
    • Smart Grid Technology
    • Electrical Design and Installation
    • Other relevant courses leading to Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW - Technician) certification.
  • Supervise student projects and internships in collaboration with industry partners.
  • Integrate IT resources and multimedia platforms to facilitate effective lesson delivery.
  • Counsel, coach, and mentor students to support their learning, participation in competitions, career guidance, and personal development.
  • Undertake academic-related administrative duties, committee work, and support outreach activities, including local and overseas community projects and study trips.
  • Plan, lead, manage, and develop industry-linked projects, student internships, and capability development initiatives.
  • Foster holistic student development in areas such as career readiness and leadership.

[What we are looking for]

  • Qualifications in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. A postgraduate degree is an added advantage.
  • Certified Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) at Technician level or higher.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the following areas:
  • a) Electrical power systems: generation, transmission, and distribution
  • b) Power system analysis, protection, and control
  • c) Electrical machines and transformers
  • d) Power system modelling and simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB)
  • e) Electrical testing and measurement instruments
  • f) Electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, and local regulations)
  • g) Hands-on experience in power system design, operation, and maintenance
  • h) Fault analysis, load flow studies, and system stability assessments
  • i) Renewable energy systems and their integration into power grids
  • Proven ability to lead, plan, execute, and deliver projects that develop solutions for industrial applications.
  • A self-starter who thrives in cross-functional roles.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexible, embraces lifelong learning, and demonstrates a growth mindset.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and presentation skills
