Learning & Talent Development Leader 

Are you a visionary and experienced professional in the field of Learning and Development, Talent Development and/or Organizational Development? Then this might be a great opportunity for you: we are looking for a seasoned Learning and Talent Development Leader with at least 10 years of professional experience in the field, an appetite for collaboration and innovation, understanding of quality and risk management and who has strong stakeholder relationship skills.   

 

What will you be doing? 

As Learning & Talent Development Leader, you will be responsible for the overarching strategy and vision on learning and development in PwC NL, contributing to the broader People Strategy and in line with the demand and needs from the business. This role is based in Amsterdam. 

 

You will lead the Learning & Development team. It is composed of 4 L&D Leaders, learning design experts, learning experience experts, quality management experts and operations specialists (30 people in total). You will head the L&D Management Team (in which the 4 L&D Leaders are represented) and are responsible for the overall L&D budget, resources and stakeholder relations. As L&TD Leader, you report directly to the People Cluster Lead, are part of the People Cluster Management Team. You also have a strong relationship with the PwC Europe L&D Leader team, where you will connect with your Europe peers. Representatives of the LoS leadership teams are your key stakeholders. 

 

Your responsibilities include: 

 

  • Strategy & vision:  

  • Defining the L&D strategy, vision and year plan, sound these with all the involved stakeholders and translate this into an actionable implementation plan for the team. Build the bridge between Global, Europe and local L&D initiatives. Be part of the People Cluster Management Team, advise the People Cluster MT members and People Cluster Lead about how L&D contributes to the broader People Strategy agenda. Work together in broader People cluster projects. 

  • Daily management: 

  • Oversee quality of the delivery of the L&D solutions, Development and performance of the Learning & Development team. Drive communication on L&D within PwC and contribute to L&D and People Cluster projects, locally and internationally. You connect, as much as relevant and possible, with other teams in the People Cluster, Firm Services (e.g. R&Q) and beyond. The Learning & Talent Development Leader historically has taken on part of the L&D curriculum and/or Hub leading responsibilities. Currently, these include partner & director development, digital upskilling, learning culture and skills strategy 

  • Innovation & change 

  • Drive innovation within the team, leveraging digital solutions, technology and outsourcing (Katowice).  

  • Stay up to speed with the relevant developments in the field of Learning & Talent Development  

Does this describe you? 

This role requires a visionary professional who can collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the L&D curriculum and initiatives constantly align with the business needs and contribute to achieving L&D's purpose: ensuring our professionals are fit for purpose in a changing business context. You have an eye for innovation, are creative and know how to leverage the resources in a team effectively to achieve great results together. You also have an understanding of quality management and risk procedures, in particular when it comes to regulations related to learning (such as permanent education). 

 

You are a driven and experienced L&D professional with experience in driving strategy, leading change and leading teams. You can translate business needs to effective L&D projects and be capable of staffing these projects with L&D professionals accordingly. You know how to integrate innovation within L&D initiatives and know how to distinguish between nice to haves and true game changers 

 

You are highly analytical and do not shy away from details (in particular: Finance, resource management, quality management). At the same time, you are able to conceptualize, connect the dots and explain the broader vision 

 

People recognise you for being able to build trusted relationships. You are proactive, communicative, open-minded and have the drive to continuously improve your own work as well as the work of your team. You care for the people you lead. 

 

Furthermore: 

  • You have a university degree and at least 10 years of working experience 

  • You have relevant L&D experience within a similar organization 

  • You have experience as a project leader and have been responsible for managing resources, budget, risks and timelines 

  • You are flexible and able to constantly navigate different projects and priorities  

  • You have excellent communication skills, in Dutch and in English
