Job Description Summary

The Lean & Transformation Leader is responsible for embedding Lean principles and driving enterprise-wide transformation across GE HealthCare’s commercial, operational, R&D/technology, and service domains.  This role leads strategic initiatives to improve agility, reduce waste, and enhance customer responsiveness while aligning with GEHC’s proprietary Heartbeat Business System.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Transformation Execution

  • Lead execution of Big Rocks aligned with GEHC’s 2030 Vision.
  • Drive Kaizen events and Lean projects across global and regional sites.
  • Collaborate with global and regional leaders to align transformation goals.

Lean System Deployment

  • Operationalize Heartbeat fundamentals: Standard Work, Daily Management System (DMS), Problem Solving Process (PSP), and Kaizen.
  • Lead Lean Bootcamps and eLearning for leadership teams to build practitioner capability.

Organizational Design & Change Management

  • Partner with HR and Talent teams to implement organizational design strategies and change management processes.
  • Serve as a coach and enabler for People & Culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with Lean behaviors.

Performance & KPI Management

  • Establish and monitor KPIs using visual management tools and bowler charts.
  • Drive accountability at the point of impact through Genba coaching and PSP facilitation.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate with Business Segments (Imaging, AVS, PCS, PDx), Regions (USCAN, China and International) and Functions (Supply Chain and Global Service) teams to implement Lean tools and improve operational outcomes.
  • Lead supplier and manufacturing transfers, product localization, and VBP win rate improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or other technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Lean transformation, and /or organizational design, or operational improvement.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale change in complex, matrixed organizations, that deliver on expected results.
  • Demonstrated success in a past leadership role with a strong, hands-on background in implementing HBS or similar lean systems.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in regional market operations and regulatory environments (e.g., China, U.S.) preferred.

  • Ability to view the business from a general manager's perspective and understand how improvements in one area can impact the whole organization. 
  • Practitioner mindset with hands-on Lean experience.
  • Ability to influence executive leaders and drive cultural change.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, analytical approach and a strong focus on customer experience.
  • Fluent in English; regional language fluency (e.g., Mandarin) preferred for local roles.
  • Effective in navigating global organizations, managing across geographies, cultures, and functions.
  • Change agent with the ability to make a compelling case for Lean and deliver measurable impact.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, from the shop floor to the boardroom.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-million-dollar budgets and implementing Lean business systems in global businesses.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $200,000.00-$300,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
