The Team

In the CISO DBNL, we take responsibility for IT Risk & Security within Domestic Bank focusing on creating a Safe, Secure & Compliant bank.

As Lead NFR for IT-Risk & Controls you will manage a chapter of approximately 18 IT- risk professionals. You will be in contact with all levels of defense in ING’s risk model, ranging from engineers, management, Information Risk Officers and policy makers in the 2nd line to auditors in the 3rd line. You will maintain these relations to build a safe, secure and compliant bank with a detailed focus on IT Risk & Controls.

Role & Responsibilities

  • You spend a part of your time on adopting strategic risk initiatives, advising, assisting and facilitating implementation of the risk initiatives for overall Tech NL.
  •  Firstly you will fulfil an important expert role as IT -Risk & Controls professional as part of the IT Risk control chapter which consists of multiple IT-Risk & Controls consultants and engineers.
  •  You will be building up expertise in your team and developing your team members. You are enthusiastic about transferring your knowledge to others, and about coaching approximately 18 members of your team and oversee their personal development
  • You and your colleagues work in an international environment in different multidisciplinary squads, together with business colleagues, Features Engineers, Dev engineers, OPS engineers and Security experts.

  •        A degree in computer science or a comparable education on an academic level
  •        Accountable Experience in IT Risk & Controls
  •        Managerial experience within an agile organisation, and inspiration to continuing working in this matter.
  •        Strong analytical, people management and stakeholder management skills
  •        Speaking and writing the English language is a must have

  •        Can create an up-to-date vision regarding IT Risk expertise and keeps abreast of developments:
  •        Regularly organize alignment meetings specific topics to update colleagues on new developments;
  •        Define standards and best practices for the tea.
  •        Is recognized as a competent in his or her field.
  •        Be a key member of MT CISO DBNL and reporting directly to CISO DBNL.
  •        Discuss both the progress and the development needs of the chapter as a whole with the CISO DBNL Lead.
  •        Provides coaching both in terms of professional and of personal development.
  •        Encourages his/her chapter members to develop themselves and facilitates this.
