Roles and Responsibilities
Own and lead New Product Introductions (NPIs) and manufacturing transfers for existing products by collaborating with global and local cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
Design and develop assembly and testing processes, including jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing aids to support efficient production.
Set up, qualify and validate assembly line tools and testing equipment to ensure robust and compliant manufacturing operations.
Lead process risk assessments, drive factory, forward production, field quality improvements, and Defects Per Unit (DPU) reduction programs, through structured problem solving and failure analysis.
Manage Engineering change requests and implement the change in manufacturing floor.
Drive lean manufacturing, digitization, and plant modernization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
Own implementation and execution of Quality Management Systems (QMS) as per medical device regulations in shop floor. Lead QMS audits, investigations, implement CAPA.
Coach and mentor the Process Engineering team members on process development, risk analysis, QMS and build organizational capability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical /Production/Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Bio Medical / Medical Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
Knowledge/experience in Medical Equipment’s (CT/PET)
Sound knowledge, hands on experience on Problem Solving, failure analysis tools. (Lean, Six Sigma, data analysis).
Knowledge of Electromechanical parts assemblies, PCB’s.
Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) for medical devices.
Hands on experience on Microsoft office applications
Good communication skills (Oral/Written)
Strong bias for documentation & technical reports
Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality.
Ability to work in a team with good Interpersonal skills.
Experience
7 ~ 10 years in core Engineering Industry.
Medical Device Industry experience is preferred.
Desired Characteristics
Lean Six Sigma knowledge or GB certification.
Product development, cross-functional experience
