Job Description Summary: The main responsibility of this position is the overall management of the Maximo system in Canada such that it brings value to the frontline users and it supports the organization of the maintenance Turn-Arounds. This position leads the organizing of complex turnarounds (TAR), and works effectively with plant management and personnel during the TAR execution. They develop detailed plans and strategies for TAR execution, including HSE planning, contracting, procurement, project controls, and staffing, by establishing clear roles and responsibilities with all stakeholders. This role is critical for optimizing the execution of complex turnaround to support the reliable operation of Air Separation, Merchant Onsite and Carbon Dioxide plants.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance System - Maximo
Works with the AMG Reliability & Maintenance central support team to ensure the alignment of policies and practices as the systems evolve and come together
Is the Lead for AMG Canada on the SAP-to-Maximo integration projects
Is the Lead for AMG Canada to standardize Maximo PMs, WOs and Reporting
Ensures the PM’s tracked are meaningful and executed properly through training of the field personnel and follow-up
Ensure other tools in the maintenance domain work efficiently together to provide frontline user a quality experience and the organization meaningful insight into the state of the maintenance program
TAR Management
Leads the development of the TAR scope with local management, in compliance with the maintenance policies of AMG
Ensures that the required resources for the TAR, both internal and external, are scheduled and booked
Recommend and manage Lead - Maint system appropriate TAR organization to deliver scope, schedule and cost requirements
Communicate on TAR schedules, status, issues and concerns to the appropriate stakeholders and provides solutions for open issues
Manage materials and QA/QC process throughout the TAR process.
Ensures that the CMMS is used effectively for TAR planning and historical record purposes
Executes the policies and procedures of the AMG Reliability and Maintenance team
Reporting and Budgeting
Provide accurate and timely reporting on cost and schedule performance during the TARs.
Completes the post TAR meetings, zone forecast reports and develops the annual TAR planning budget for the zone.
Maintains the AMG Outage calendar
TAR Execution
Organize job walks and bid activities to ensure all scope, contractors and subs are clear and available for execution and meet the operating plants.
Ensure all pre-TAR work is completed and materials are received prior to outage.
Ensure complete and timely integration of any Capital, Controls, Engineering or Operations projects scope within the TAR plan
Ensure TAR development and execution is properly planned and staffed, including interfacing with Safety, Engineering, Controls & Operations to assure adequate participation
Manage the scope change process and discovery work cost control.
Onsite during critical TAR’s to supervise the work
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor in Engineering, or significant equivalent industrial experience
10 years of Operations or Maintenance management or project engineering experience
2 years Experience supervising or managing projects from $100K to $3MM
Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and project planning software
Excellent planning and organizational skills, competent in conflict and crisis management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills
Frequent regional travel. and up to 30% overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate proficiency in areas of procurement, evaluation and selection of contractors, contracts and negotiation
Ability to work with all levels of personnel
Comfortable in both corporate and field environments
Ability to multitask, prioritize in periods of peak work volume
