Lead Interface Engineer

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Lead Interface Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia.  This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas.  The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Lead Interface Engineer will be responsible for all internal & external interface engineering, including other Project Contractors for the entire OLNG Facility, by coordinating across all related disciplines in order to meet the requirements specified in the project contract.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure all interface points are clearly identified and that parties are aligned and understand their scope boundaries/responsibilities, ensuring no gaps or overlaps exist
  • Identify technical data needs early from each party and plan exchanges/agreements so there is no negative effect on the work
  • Document, update, monitor Key interface data through to resolution and communicate on a timely basis
  • Ensure that all stakeholders supply any information to confirm there are clear expectations of “what, when, and who” needs the work items so they can complete their work on a planned basis, without unnecessary tasks or rework

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field
  • 15 + years of directly related experience, with average experience of 20 years
  • Must include 10 + years of experience in interface engineering of LNG Plants
  • Experience with FEED and EPCI in LNG Plants
  • Working knowledge / overview of general engineering of LNGs and other Oil and Gas Facilities
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
