The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you’ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won’t find anywhere else.

You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges – in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. In fact, a frequent sign of success for our Infrastructure Specialists is when clients come back to us and ask for the same person by name. That’s the kind of impact you can have!

This is a project-based role where you’ll enjoy deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project, as well as the chance to work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. Whatever your current level of tech savvy or where you want your career to lead, you’ll find the right opportunities and a buddy to support your growth. Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Office 365 components with an emphasis on, but not limited to:

    • Administration function.

    • Strong PowerShell scripting skills

    • Hybrid Exchange environment

    • Skype for Business Online.

    • Office Online.

    • Azure Active Directory.

    • SharePoint Online.

    • OneDrive for Business.

    • Enterprise Mobility and Security

  • Knowledge and implementation experience of deploying other O365 Functionality, e.g. Teams, Planner, Flow, Groups, etc.

  • Provide timely support that delivers a stable, secure global collaboration & communications platform following internal methodologies, processes and standards.

  • Technical Leader in keeping current with existing and emerging technologies, providing input to technology roadmaps. They are also given the responsibility of discussing other issues or challenges if faced by anyone, with the team

  • Experience coordinating and managing escalation with Microsoft support.

  • Ability to coordinate with teams, vendors and partners as needed for problem resolution.

  • Lead and/or participate in various projects: strategic and operational initiatives. Create scripts which will automate most feasible routine tasks.

  • Document processes and procedures for maintenance and support. Should create various documentations which in turn will help others to refer in future for their own purposes.

  • Participation in development of strategic plans for the collaboration team.

  • Provide level-3 operational support for collaboration platforms. Off-hours Oncall support and a flexible schedule to accommodate a global team will be required. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).

  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to assimilate new information quickly

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems

  • Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and the ability to offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a “can do” attitude in a team environment

  • Self-motivated, self-directed person.

  • Ability to work with and support a globally dispersed team.

  • Certifications: will be added advantage: MCSA/MCSE: In Exchange 2010/2013/2016/O365 



Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.

  • Skills in Exchange online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams & Teams Phone

  • Experience in Tenant to Tenant mail migration or Teams SBC set up or any other O365 related projects.
