This is an individual contributor opportunity reporting to the Training Senior Color Manager and involves working and collaborating directly with the Training Footwear Design team, Product Management, Development teams, Training Apparel Color teams as well as Nike creative and business stakeholders.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re currently looking for an incredible Lead Color Designer to help drive seasonal color design concepts for Training Footwear. Color Design at Nike is a diverse culture of creativity, collaboration and innovative thinking on all levels. This role requires strong passion and knowledge of color design and product creation and the ability to problem solve every step of the way, from concept to final design. This teammate embodies expert communication skills with the ability to translate ideas into focused designs as well as a passion and energy for sport culture and design.
The ideal Lead Color Designer will be responsible for establishing seasonal color direction and strategy for footwear product under the Training business. This designer will be an active and energetic participant in the creative process and have excellent cross-functional communication skills, presenting design concepts to internal and external audiences and executing complex deliverables in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Designer will be a versatile creative problem solver who excels under tight deadlines, has a strong understanding of emerging design and fashion trends, and extensive knowledge of footwear construction, color theory, and textiles.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fashion design, industrial design, apparel design, material design, textile design, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
