Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, a deep understanding of financial reporting, and the ability to work collaboratively across the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy and integrity in our financial statements and supporting strategic decision-making.

In this role the Lead Accountant will ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports, lead complex accounting projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies, while collecting, recording, classifying, examining, analyzing, or reporting accounting transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
 

What you’ll do

Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage technical accounting consultations on highly complex transactions.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Provide technical accounting rulings related to various topics with a key focus on ASC 842, ASC 606, and software capitalization.

• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors.

• Develop and maintain internal controls and compliance procedures.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new standards as needed.

• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Certification is required in some areas.

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA certification required.

• Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Strong written communication skills

• Proficiency with accounting software (Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience.

Our Lead Accountant, earns between $118,800 - $178,200. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
