Program Summary

Job Summary

The Metal Fabricator supports the production of high-quality metal components and assemblies for industrial and defense-related applications. This role operates under direct supervision and is responsible for interpreting technical documentation, preparing work sites, and executing precise fabrication tasks using a variety of tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will contribute to the safe and efficient assembly of metal structures while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Receive and execute daily work assignments based on technical instructions and production schedules.
  • Assist in coordinating the movement of materials and equipment to designated work areas and support site setup.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical manuals to guide fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Cut metal components using hand saws, machine saws, laser cutters, or guillotines in accordance with specifications.
  • Assemble metal parts through welding, bolting, or riveting, or prepare components for welding by others.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding operations on various metals, ensuring structural integrity and precision.
  • Conduct inspections and functional tests on fabricated components to verify compliance with quality requirements.
  • Maintain fabrication tools and equipment, perform routine maintenance, and report any operational issues.
  • Complete required documentation and records related to work progress, inspections, and material usage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a welding or metal fabrication shop environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with applicable MIL-SPECs, codes, and technical manuals relevant to fabrication tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately lay out work and fabricate components with minimal rework.
  • Capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.
  • Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license and maintain its validity for the duration of employment.
  • Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  •  Prior involvement in defense or industrial fabrication projects requiring adherence to military specifications.
  •  Exposure to CNC machinery, robotic welding systems, or advanced cutting technologies.
  • Forklift certification or experience handling heavy materials and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance procedures and component testing protocols.
  • Beginner in English proficiency: Speak, read, and write in English at a beginner level.
